Ash friends stop to camp out and take a lunch break when they meet with a little Pokémon with a big appetite. After meeting with it’s trainer, Brenda engages in her first battle as a Pokémon trainer. Meanwhile, the same exact Pokémon has eaten all of Team Rocket’s food, and they can’t allow it to get away with that.
The Pokédex, Movedex, and Character Guides have all been updated accordingly.
As normal, this episode featured the capture of the “Basic Bird Pokémon” of the region he’s in, continuing the theme from his Piddgeotto, Noctowl, Tailow, Starly, Pidove, and Fletchling. Aprentichick’s Talon Grapple attack is its evolutionary line’s signature move. It is my first example of a Combo-Type move (for more information on those, see the New Mechanics page), being both a Flying and Fighting-Type move. This episode also featured my first attempt at a “Who’s that Pokémon!?” As I said in the story, I was trying it out for fun, and I think I liked it enough to keep on doing it. Sorry if you think it’s too silly.
Ash, Brock, and Brenda travel to Aster Town, in hopes of signing Ash up for the Tenno League. Once there, they have an encounter with an unruly Apprentichick, which challenges every Pokémon it sees. Ash makes it his mission to understand this unusual Pokémon.
The Pokédex and Attackdex have been updated accordingly.
Update: The Attackdex and Abilitydex page has just been updated with some interesting information, along with the addition of a new page on a new Pokémon type, the Light-Type. Check them out.
Just as I do for my for my other story, I’ll provide reviews of each episode right before the following episode is posted.
I’ve always loved Pokémon, and I am so happy to actually be writing a Pokémon story. The first episode is a little unconventional as far as the show typically goes. Normally it’s the last episode of the previous series which shows Ash at home and learning about/preparing to travel to the next region. Of course, I don’t have the luxury of having a previous series to explain everything for me, so the first episode had to serve a different function (speaking of not having the luxury of a previous series, this series is assumed to come sometime after X and Y, but not necessarily right after it). Brenda’s origin comes from the female playable trainer able to be picked to play in Terra/Luna/Sol Versions. The second episode is based off a similar event in my original game concepts. There, you first pick your starter Pokémon, then your rival picks the one good against it, you battle, than Cosmo and Team Planetary come in and steal the third. You battle him, but he gets away.
Pokémon Cosmic Quest is my brand new fan fiction, it follows Ash and Pikachu through the Tenno Region, a region known for its advanced space program. Join Ash, Pikachu, Brock, and Brenda as they battle new Pokémon, fight enemies new and old, and travel across the land.
The first two episodes are out now. Read them here.
